What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. When you set up your restaurant, we collect your restaurant name, WhatsApp number, and any images you upload (logos, menu item photos, banners). We also collect scan events — anonymous records of when your public menu page is visited, including the approximate time and device type.
How we use it
Your data is used solely to operate Astolio. Your email is used for authentication. Your restaurant data is used to display your public menu. Scan events are used to power your analytics dashboard. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond running the service.
Storage
Your data is stored securely on Convex, a hosted backend platform. Images are stored in Convex File Storage. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data — including uploaded images — is permanently deleted.
Cookies
Astolio uses a session cookie strictly for authentication — to keep you signed in between visits. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
Third parties
We use Convex for our backend and data storage. We use Vercel to host the application. Neither party has access to your data beyond what is necessary to operate the service. We do not integrate with any advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics providers that have access to your personal information.
Your rights
You can update your restaurant profile and account details at any time from your dashboard settings. You can permanently delete your account — and all associated data — from the danger zone in settings. If you have any questions about your data, email us at hello@astolio.space.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date below and notify active users by email. Continued use of Astolio after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
